Research training, career, and academic goals

I have been working as a consultant paediatrician since January 2000 in Vadodara, Gujarat, India. I started my career as a full-time pediatrician at Shree Maharani Shantadevi Hospital, Vadodara. It was one of the leading Gynec and Paediatric hospitals in our city having Level II NICU. I have worked there from January 2000 to July 2001.
Since July 2001, I have been handling Multi specialty hospital ‘SAMIR HOSPITAL’ and working as Department Head & Consultant Pediatrician at Shree Narhari Arogya Kendra, Vadodara. In both places, we have fully functioning paediatric departments. I am handling OPD along with the Vaccination center, IPD, & Emergency Department.
I am taking lectures on paediatric topics in 4th Year at Mahalaxmi Mahila Homoeopathic College, Vadodara and was taking lectures in M.S. Pathak Homeopathic College and Pioneer Physiotherapy College, Vadodara.

Training in Adolescent Medicine.

3rd to 7th October 2019

I have undergone an International Advanced Training Program on Adolescent Health between 3rd to 7th October 2019 organised at Pune by AACCI, D.Y. Patil Medical college and Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine, Kalamazoo, Michigan, U.S.A. Since than I have started my work for AYA as a part of my paediatric practice. I was also a part of scientific committee to make the teaching material for this course in a digital form for sharing with participants.

I have also joined a Certificate Course in Adolescent Pediatrics run by Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune.

I joined Association of Adolescent & Child Care in India (AACCI) in 2019 as a volunteer and working as National Coordinator since 2020. Contributor in different modules of AACCI ABC (Ange Management), Dealing with Puberty & Menstrual Hygiene issues, LSE. During COVID 19 lockdown phases conducted more than 100 webinars. I was the founder Secretary of Vadodara Adolescent Health Academy a part of the Adolescent Health Academy of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics in 2021 & became Chairperson of the organisation in 2022. I have conducted many seminars, webinars and workshops for school and college students.

Clinical Practice in Adolescence

Since 2021 I have been also running HOLISTIC ADOLESCENT CARE CENTER at Samir Hospital Vadodara and dealing with the Physical, Mental and career-related issues of AYA.
